Get ready to hit the waves in Goat Grommets, the ultimate surfing showdown!
This is a head-to-head competition where you’ll battle it out to see who can become the surfing champ. We can start with the Teacher vs. The Class, then have students challenge each other one-on-one or in teams.
The goal is to rack up the most points without running into the dreaded shark that’s lurking in the water, ready to gobble up your score!
Here’s how the contest goes down:
First, we pick our surf spot (Level 1 for easier waves, Level 2 for a bigger challenge) and decide how many bonus points the legendary Kraken is worth. Then, you choose your surfer: will you be the Goat Grommet or Utah the Pony?
The action starts with the “Surf Forecast,” which shows you all the possible waves, barrels (worth double points!), and sharks hidden in the water for the round.
When it’s your turn, you hit the “Surf” button and see what the ocean sends your way! To lock in the points for your wave, you’ll have to solve a quick math problem that pops up. Don’t worry, you get a few tries if you need them.
After your first successful ride, you face the ultimate choice. You can play it safe and press the “Head in” button, which means you paddle back to shore and bank all the points you’ve earned for that round.
Or… you can risk it all and stay out in the water to catch more waves and build a massive score. But be warned! The longer you stay out, the greater the chance a SHARK will appear. If you see one on your turn, it wipes out all the points you’ve earned in that round, and you’ll head back to the beach with zero. As the game goes on, the number of sharks in the water increases, making each decision even more intense!
The player with the most points safely banked after three rounds wins the whole competition and gets ultimate bragging rights!
