SANDLERA - Sand Toy Simulatory
What Is SANDLERA?
SANDLERA is an interactive falling-sand simulation that turns a simple canvas into a lively digital laboratory. Instead of following a fixed game objective, you create your own experiments by placing materials into the play area and watching them react. Every grain, droplet, flame, and cloud follows its own movement rules, allowing small changes to produce completely different results. The experience is part toy, part creative sandbox, and part visual science experiment.
Build Your Own Experiments
The tool includes a wide selection of elements to draw with, including sand, water, oil, lava, acid, plants, stone, wood, fire, powder, glass, ice, metal, fuses, seeds, and an eraser. Each material behaves differently. Sand falls and piles up, water flows around obstacles, oil floats on water, lava radiates heat, and acid dissolves many materials. These properties make the simulation feel dynamic rather than decorative. You can construct barriers, pour liquids, ignite combustible materials, and observe how the scene changes over time.
Simple Tools With Creative Depth
SANDLERA provides several drawing modes for shaping a scene. The brush lets you paint materials freely, while the line and rectangle tools make it easier to create walls, platforms, channels, and other structures. A mirror mode can help you produce symmetrical designs or explore balanced patterns. The brush-size slider gives you control over whether you want to place a precise single stream or a broad mass of material.
Interactions and Reactions
The most engaging part of SANDLERA is discovering unexpected combinations. Water can cool lava into stone, while heat can turn water into steam. Sand exposed to intense heat near lava may become glass. Fire can spread to wood, oil, plants, powder, and fuses, creating chain reactions and explosions. Ice can freeze nearby water and later melt when temperatures rise. Seeds can develop into plants and eventually grow into tree-like structures when they have suitable ground and water. These interactions encourage curiosity and make every session different.
Save, Share, and Revisit Scenes
Experimentation does not have to end when you close the tool. SANDLERA includes three memory slots for saving and loading scenes, making it easy to compare ideas or return to a favorite setup. Scenes can also be exported as JSON and imported later. The snapshot feature lets you capture the current play area, while the recording control is useful for preserving a particularly satisfying reaction or sharing a short simulation sequence.
A Focused Visual Experience
The interface uses a warm, pixel-inspired visual style with an amber-and-blue color palette, scanlines, glowing materials, and a dark simulation chamber. These details give the tool the character of a retro machine while keeping the controls readable. Optional sound effects add feedback to events such as explosions and steam reactions. Whether you want to design miniature landscapes, test material behavior, or simply relax while watching particles move, SANDLERA offers an approachable and endlessly replayable creative playground.
