Mega Crashers (Goar Crashers)
What is Mega Crashers?
Mega Crashers is a fast and clever GOAT Maths game where goats and pigs battle to take over a barn. It is part of ABC Education’s GOAT Maths series and focuses on mental calculation. Players use addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to match target numbers shown in the barn windows. The game is designed for students who are ready to practise several math operations in one active challenge.
How to Play
Mega Crashers is played as a contest between two sides. One team can be the Goat Crashers and the other team can be the Pig Posse. The aim is not to collect points. The goal is to be the first team to move all of its animals into the barn. The barn shows a set of numbered windows, and each round gives players two numbers to work with.
Players must use those two numbers with addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to make one of the target numbers in the barn. Once a player finds a correct number sentence, one of the team’s animals lights up. The player then drags that animal to the matching barn window. If the answer is correct, the number sentence appears and the turn moves to the other team. If no target number can be made, the turn passes without a successful move.
Why You'll Love It
Mega Crashers makes mental math feel like a lively team race instead of a plain worksheet. Players need to think quickly, but they also need to choose carefully. A single pair of numbers can often make more than one answer, so the game encourages flexible thinking. Students practise number facts, factors, multiples, and division facts while trying to beat the other team to the barn.
The game is great for classrooms, small groups, or paired play. It gives students a reason to explain their calculations and compare different strategies. Because the target numbers change each round, the game stays fresh and keeps players alert. Mega Crashers is a strong choice for practising all four operations in a fun farm-themed challenge.
